Nearly 200 Pumpkins Celebrate Books at Hawthorne

Hawthorne students showed incredible creativity during this year’s October Pumpkin Book Character Challenge. Nearly 200 pumpkins were brought in, each designed to represent a favorite book character through painting, decorating, and imaginative carving. The pumpkins are now on display in the library, continuing to bring smiles to students and staff. Thank you to art teacher Melissa Mancini and to the students and families who helped make this literacy celebration so successful.
