February 13th marked the 100th day of school. Students at Hawthorne Elementary celebrated the day with activities that centered around the number 100. The day kicked off with a special prize for the 100th student to enter the building and then a 100 Day poem read by Principal Stern. First graders in Mrs. Campbell's class decorated shirts with 100 items while kindergarteners rotated around stations in their classrooms engaging in activities such as counting 100 snacks, completing a 100 piece puzzle and making headbands with 100 dots. It was a great way to mark the milestone. What did the kids say was the best part about acknowledging the 100th day? That it means there are only 80 more days until summer vacation!
