We had a first in Mount Pleasant this June - due to the extreme heat, our 2nd graders had their Moving Up Ceremony at Westlake High School.

The “Monster Project” fostered a sense of community and collaboration between the students.

Logan Schwan completed his Eagle Scout project at Hawthorne Elementary. Logan, a former Hawthorne “Wildcub” and currently a Junior at WHS, committed to creating a Music Wall at Hawthorne!

Mount Pleasant Central School District has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. Now in its 25th year, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement for providing music access and education to all students.

Naturalist Julia King from PNW BOCES’ Center for Environmental Learning visited Hawthorne today with two special programs to help students get ready for Earth Day which happens later this month.

County-wide auditions were held last April and we just learned that eight WMS students have been invited to Westchester County School Music Association's (WCSMA) All-County Elementary Band.

Mount Pleasant Central School District voters passed the Instructional Bond Referendum 685 to 210. A pass rate of 77%.
